Car Slams into Main Street Business in Manchester

A two-car collision resulted in one car smashing through the glass window of a storefront.

MANCHESTER, CT - Two cars collided on Main Street Thursday morning, resulting in one slamming into a storefront, the Hartford Courant reported.

Police told the paper a Buick and a BMW collided near 4 Main Street, with the BMW then striking a utility pole and a cement barrier before crashing into the African and Caribbean specialty store.

The driver of the BMW, a pregnant woman, was transported to a hospital, while the Buick driver was uninjured.
