Judge Increases Bond On Man Charged In Manchester Gun Incidents
A judge has put a high bond on a man charged in Manchester gun incidents that included what seemed to be a vengeance list.

MANCHESTER, CT — A judge has tacked more than a half-million dollars onto the bond of a 28-year-old man charged in connection with a series of gun incidents in Manchester.
The case of Matthew Cordell, of Manchester, was transferred on Tuesday to the Part A Docket in Hartford and continued until April 4, a clerk at Manchester Superior Court said. His initial bond was set at $200,000, but it was increased to $750,000, which he did not post, a clerk said.
Cordell remained in custody Tuesday, a clerk said.

The investigation began on March 14, when an Oxford Street resident told police he came home to find what appeared to be bullet holes in his home, according to a report.
The following day, a resident reported hearing gunshots, but no damage was located by investigators, according to a report.

On March 17, a second home was damaged by gunshots, according to a report.
At 2:01 a.m. police saw a suspicious vehicle on Main Street near Haynes Street and stopped it, according to a report. During questioning, the driver, Cordell, admitted to his involvment in the gunfire, according to a report. Police found a gun and ammunition at Cordell's home and also found a list of people he may have been targeting who have "wronged him" over the years, a report indicates.
Cordell was charged with:
- Unlawful discharge of a firearm
- First-degree reckless endangerment
- Second-degree stalking
- Third-degree criminal mischief
- Second-degree breach of peace
He was being held on a $200,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
No injuries were reported.
