New Study Finds Moms’ Omega-3s Boost Baby’s Intelligence
Omega-3s Boost Baby's Intelligence

The Manchester Parkade Health Shoppe, a locally-owned independent natural products store in Manchester, Connecticut, reports a new study that found women who had adequate levels of the omega-3 fatty acid DHA during pregnancy gave birth to children who were better able to solve problems 12 months later, compared to those whose mothers had lower DHA levels.
The report is part of the May, 2019, issue of Natural Insights for Well Being®, which The Manchester Parkade Health Shoppe publishes as a free service to the Manchester community, bringing the latest scientific information on nutrition. Also in the May issue, a new study found that vitamin D with omega-3 rebalanced abnormal hormone levels in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and men with benign prostate hypertrophy had more normal bladder function after taking Pycnogenol®, among other important findings.
“Whether you are an expectant mom, an older man, or a sports enthusiast looking to boost performance, natural nutrition can help you improve your health,” said Erika Dworkin, owner of the Manchester Parkade Health Shoppe. “New studies we report this month come from well-respected medical journals such as ‘Nutrients,’ the journal ‘Minerva Medica,’ and the journal ‘International Urology and Nephrology,’ among others,” Dworkin said.
