Tale Of Wandering Dog In Manchester Has Happy Ending

A family has taken a chance on Chance, a dog that was found roaming in Manchester, animal control officials said.

MANCHESTER, CT — The tale of a dog found wandering in Manchester has had a happy ending.

Yes ... Chance has been adopted, Manchester Animal Control officials said.

"Our very own Chance wiggled his way into a home," they said in an heartfelt social media post.

On Jan. 12, animal control officials said they found chance roaming in the Wadsworth Street neighborhood. The estimated three-year-old mixed dog, at the time, needed to gain a few pounds, but was "worthy of some TLC," animal control officials said.

On Jan. 28, another post on the animal control Facebook page said, "stop scrolling ... give Chance a chance."

The post said, "Chance was seen by a veterinary office and was a star client. He received a rabies vaccination and was so brave. Chance has so much love and loyalty to give and just needs a family to give him the chance to do that."

That came 22 days lated when the announcement that Chance had been adopted was posted.

"Chance has made himself comfortable with his new sister Mona and fits right in," animal control officials said. "We are so happy for this perfect boy and couldn’t have asked for a better family to come along and take him in. Happy tails, Chance. You are so loved."
