Four Arrested in Meriden Shooting

Police announced that they have arrested and charged four people in connection with te shooting in City Park Wednesday.

The 22-year-old victim is in stable condition, said Sgt. Darrin McKay. He was shot in the calf and buttocks.

A handgun was located, but police haven’t confirmed whether it was the weapon used in the shooting.

The following people were arrested:

• Joerael Bratten, 22, of Liberty Street was charged with first-degree assault, conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, carrying a pistol without a permit and criminal possession of a firearm. He was held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
• Teharmon Techer, 22 of Crown Street was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree assault and was held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
• Denzel Byrd, 23 of Twiss Street was charged with reckless driving and held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
• Kyshone Jackson, 18 of Meriden Road in Waterbury was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree assault. He was held in lieu of $25,000 bail.
