Wrong-Way Crash On I-691 In Meriden Leads To Serious Injuries
Another wrong-way crash left two drivers with serious injuries early Tuesday.

MERIDEN, CT — A wrong-way crash in Meriden early Tuesday led to injuries, according to state police. A New Milford man was driving a 2012 Toyota Camry eastbound on Interstate 691 in the area west of exit 5.
A Cromwell man was driving a 2007 Honda Accord westbound at 12:07 a.m., going the wrong way in the eastbound lanes. The Accord then struck the Camry head on, according to state police.
The drivers were taken by ambulance to local hospitals. WTNH News-8 reported that the injuries were serious.

I-691 was closed as police investigated crash, but it has since reopened.
