• Connecticut Housing Authority Exec Is Charged With $16.2 Million Loan Fraud (savannahherald.com) — A Middlebury resident who formerly led the Meriden Housing Authority has been indicted on federal fraud and money laundering charges tied to a $16.2 million loan. Prosecutors say he took out the loan without authorization, then diverted hundreds of thousands of dollars for personal use and repaid some funds using Groton Housing Authority money. He has pleaded not guilty and faces significant prison time if convicted.
