Best Buy Electronics to Close in Meriden's Westfield Mall
Closing date is November 1st.
Electronics retailer Best Buy will close its store at the Westfield Meriden mall Nov. 1, the company confirmed Monday.
The Hartford Courant and Record Journal reported that the store would shut its doors Nov. 1 as the result of a real estate decision, not a decision based on sales according to the store manager. He referred further questions to the company’s corporate offices in Minnesota.
The Meriden Best Buy has about 60 employees. The chain’s closest stores to the Meriden location are in Newington, North Haven, Waterbury and West Hartford. In May, JC Penney Co. also closed its store in the Westfield Meriden.
