Middletown Blizzard 2015: Schools Make Decision for Wednesday

Middletown Public Schools will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 28.

11:12 a.m. Update

MxCC: All classes and activities are cancelled today, January 27th, 2015 due to inclement weather.

12:07 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27 Update

8:48 p.m. Update

Mayor Daniel T. Drew has issued the following related to the snow storm that is affecting the State of Connecticut and the City of Middletown.

• A parking ban is in effect for all city streets
• All city parking lots are open for off street parking
• The warming center at South Church will be on the following schedule: 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, all through the day Tuesday, Jan. 27, until 6 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28
• At this time the shelter at Middletown High School is not open
• The Governor and Mayor Drew have ordered all unnecessary vehicles off the roads so plow crews can keep up with the accumulating snow
• Middletown City Hall will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 27
• The Mayor is asking all Middletown residents, for their safety, to please stay home

“Middletown Public Schools will have an early dismissal tomorrow,” the website stated. “There is also the possibility that school may be cancelled should the storm intensify earlier. We will continue to evaluate the forecast.”
