Buddhism 1.0 Course is open for registration

An introductory course on the basic practices and teachings of Buddhism

This introductory or refresher Buddhism 1.0 Course: Basics Practices & Teachings will meet 3 times over a 3 month period. It will offer a comprehensive guide for living the Buddhist teachings that allows practitioners to flourish with clarity, happiness, and well-being. Open to beginners and veteran practitioners who are looking for a refresher course.

Students will learn how to practice mindfulness (sati) whether they are working, eating, parenting, driving, walking, or simply sitting and breathing, with the aim to fully enjoy life's gifts and to better cope with life's challenges wherever they are. Furthermore, students will explore in a clear and concrete way the fundamentals of the Buddha's core teachings, the Four Noble Truths, and its methods to live a happier life through reflection and meditation.

Meeting times: Classes begin at 10:30 a.m. The April 23th and June 25th are 1.5 hours in duration while the May 28th class will be 1 hour in duration.
