Calling All Toasters (And Other Stuff) To The Middletown Repair Cafe

MIDDLETOWN, CT — The Rockfall Foundation — in cooperation with the City of Middletown Recycling and Public Works Department, RiverCOG, Sustainable Essex, Reboot Eco, and Mr. Fix This — will be hosting a Repair Cafe on Saturday, June 15, at the deKoven House Community Center in Middletown, 27 Washington Street, Middletown.

Skilled volunteers will be on-hand to tent to that beloved toaster, the favorite lamp, a piece of jewelry, garments, or even a favorite toy.

The idea is the use skilled volunteers to mend items and teach folks you how to fix things, which saved money and keeps items working and out of the garbage.

Tool use and help are free.

Participants are responsible for obtaining any necessary replacement parts.
