Connecticut Family Campers & RVers Celebrates Spring Rally: “Be Revolutionary”

Connecticut chapter of the international camping club FCRV is holding its Spring Rally at Goshen Fairgrounds

May 22–25, 2026 — Goshen, CT — The Connecticut chapter of Family Campers & RVers (FCRV) invites members to its Spring Rally with the theme, “Be Revolutionary,” taking place at the historic Goshen Fairgrounds in the Litchfield Hills. The four-day event combines social gatherings, family-friendly activities, hands-on conservation and safety programs, local history experiences, and evening entertainment for campers of all ages.

Event highlights

  • Evening hospitality socials: Three nightly socials.
  • Fundraisers: Breakfast and hot dog sale.
  • Chapter sales event featuring local chapter vendors.
  • Hosted dinner and ice cream social for attendees.
  • Live music: Band performance Saturday night.
  • Nightly group campfires.
  • Youth activities: Crafts and games.
  • Games & recreation: Disk golf, bocce, washer toss, corn hole, and onsite recreation.
  • Outdoor activities: Group hikes, bike/e-bike rides, fishing, kayaking access nearby, and a local polar plunge event.
  • Local experiences & history: Litchfield historical walking tour, Revolutionary War talks, and a revolutionary-era sewing project.
  • Community participation: FCRV members walk in the local Memorial Day parade.
  • Conservation & education: Birdhouse-building project (kits provided), RV maintenance demonstration and disaster safety awareness training.
  • Action Wildlife Foundation tour: Local wildlife education tour near Goshen.

“Our Spring Rally is a chance for families to reconnect with nature, celebrate our local history, and build community through hands-on activities and shared traditions,” says Carolyn Downey, Connecticut State Director of FCRV. “We’re proud to return to the Goshen Fairgrounds, where generations of FCRV members have made lasting memories.”

The Goshen Fairgrounds has hosted FCRV events for decades and offers a scenic, convenient base for exploring the Litchfield Hills or relaxing on-site. The fairgrounds’ longstanding relationshipwith FCRV makes it a beloved annual destination for many members.
