Covenant Village of Cromwell to Host Keen Family Christmas Concert

Residents of the greater Hartford region are invited to enjoy the sounds of the holiday season with cellist Meredith Keen and family for the annual Christmas Concert at Covenant Village of Cromwell, a faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community administered by Covenant Retirement Communities.

Starting at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22, visitors may sit back and relax to the musical Keen family as they perform holiday classics. Meredith has been playing the cello since she was four years old and attended the Hartt School of Music. She has performed for the Hartford Symphony Orchestra for its season opening performance with Yo-Yo Ma in 2007, and performed at the University of Hartford Fundraising Gala in 2009.

Dr. Brenda Keen has been a singer for seven years with the Hartford Chorale, including solo roles. She has more than 25 years of teaching experience and directed a variety of choral groups that have won statewide and national honors. She currently serves as a guest choral director and instructor for several choirs and maintains her private studio in West Hartford, Connecticut teaching voice and piano lessons.

Carson Keen has been studying violin at the Hartt School of Music and is currently studying with Mickey Reisman of the Hartford and Springfield Symphonies and has played with various orchestras associated with the University of Hartford and performs solo violin engagements in private and public performances regularly.
