Covenant Village of Cromwell Hosts Summer Art Exhibit Series

Covenant Village of Cromwell will hold a Summer Art Exhibit Series featuring 20 prominent Northeast artists on July 12 and August 30. The series is part of the senior living community’s Fine Art & Gracious Living program.

The artists, who specialize in various mediums and styles, being showcased are: Barbara Beck; Del Bouree-Bach; Lorraine Chapin; Mally DeSomma; Frank Frederico; Barbara Groff; Bill Hanson; Karen Israel; Christine Ivers; Steve Linde; Sean Michanczyk; Robert Norieka; Deborah Quinn-Munson; Maryann Rupp; Beverly Schermeier; Claudia Seymour; Bivenne Staiger; Eric Steigmaier and Karen Suponski.

“You’re never too young or old to take up a new hobby and learn art. One of the artists being featured during the exhibit is 80 plus years old, so as long as you have your health, you can do whatever you put your mind to. As an artist, I have always found the practice to be very therapeutic, and recently it has been proven to aid in the prevention of memory loss and other health-related issues among seniors. Through exhibits like this one at Covenant Village of Cromwell, we are able to celebrate all artists in all stages of life,” says Christine Ivers, one of the featured artists and coordinator of the exhibit.

Greater Hartford area residents are invited to mingle with the artists, purchase artwork and enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres.

Exhibits will be open from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. Covenant Village of Cromwell is located at 52 Missionary Rd., Cromwell, Conn.
