Apartment Fire Displaces 1, Damages Liquor Store In Middletown: Report

MIDDLETOWN, CT — One person was displaced from their apartment and a liquor store was damaged during an overnight fire Tuesday in Middletown, according to the Hartford Courant.

Crews extinguished the fire at an apartment above a liquor store in Middletown early Tuesday morning, according to WTNH News 8.

WFSB 3 reports crews responded around 3:30 a.m. to a report of a building fire at 714 South Main Street.

Crews from the City of Middletown, South District and Westfield fire departments responded to the scene, according to a post on the City of Middletown Professional Firefighters Local 1073 union’s Facebook page.

The Courant reports the fire extended down into the South Main Wine & Liquor store, and the store is temporarily closed.

No injuries were reported, according to South District Fire officials.
