Driver Rescued After Rolling Down Embankment In Middletown
The truck rolled several hundred feet down a steep embankment, according to fire officials.
MIDDLETOWN, CT — Firefighters recused a driver after a truck rolled several hundred feet down an embankment off Route 9 in Middletown over the weekend. Read more from the South Fire District Firefighters IAFF Local 3918 below:
“D Platoon operated at this accident on Route 9 over the weekend. The vehicle rolled several hundred feet down a steep embankment, and crews utilizes a rope haul system and stokes basket to safely remove the patient up the ravine and out of the woods. Special thanks to City of Middletown Professional Firefighters Local 1073 Engine 1 who responded to the scene and provided additional manpower and blocking on the highway.”
