
The Pregnancy & Birth Center at Middlesex Hospital offers a infant massage class one Saturday per month, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The class is held in the Bengtson Conference Room on the Hospital’s main campus.
The class is designed for parents to learn how to use touch to enhance the physical and emotional well being of their baby. The ideal age for babies to attend this class is between 2-6 months of age.
Benefits of infant massage include: enhanced bonding, relaxation of irritable babies, promoting better sleep, helping with digestion/constipation/colic, and providing stress reduction for both caregiver and baby.
