Joe Andruzzi Foundation to Host 'Hop Over' Event In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, CT — The Joe Andruzzi Foundation, an organization designed to provide "help, hope, and a reason to smile" for New England cancer patients and their families through "crucial financial support," will be hosting a "Hop Over" event at Tate's Family Style Restaurant in Middletown on Aug. 22nd.

Tickets are $50 and include admission to the event, access to provided light bites and one beverage token redeemable at Tate's. The first 30 to purchase tickets will receive a commemorative "Well Told" pint glass at check-in.

Guests must be 21 or older to attend.

The proceeds will benefit the Joe Andruzzi Foundation’s mission to help New England cancer patients and their families when they need it most. Andruzzi, a former Patriots offensive lineman founded the organization in 2008 while battling cancer himself. Andruzzi received the 2015 Walter Camp Foundation Man of the Tear Award for his efforts with the foundation in 2015.

In 2023, JAF distributed more than $1.3 million in direct assistance to help patients and their families throughout New England with financial assistance to pay for housing, transportation, utilities, food, insurance, and other household expenses.

Tate’s is located at 80 Harbor Drive in Middletown.

Andruzzi is expected to attend along with representatives from the Joe Andruzzi Foundation and spacial guests.
