Local Area High School Student Honored by Middletown Common Council

Anthony Reno Joseph Moran was called the “quinsental citizen” and a “Role Model” by Councilman and Former Mayor Sebastian N. Giuliano at the June Regular Meeting of the Middletown Common Council where Giuliano honored Moran for his services to Middletown.

Anthony has been a Middletown for 8 years and has become quite the popular young person among his political party and peers. Moran was a Student Council members in 7th and 8th Grade and has served as a chapter officer for the Mattabeset FFA Chapter in Middletown.

In an interview this reporter had the opportunity to talk with Anthony and he said “ It was a privilege and a honor to be recognized by his city’s common council where I am a ‘regular’ at these meetings”.

Moran also told us that Council Majority Leader Thomas J. Serra told Moran that he deserves this award because he is only one of few teens that go and attend the regular council meetings of the city and also who orders the city budget and fully reads it and speaks about it.
