Man Charged In Shooting In Middletown: Police
The man, who was held in lieu of a $1 million bond, fired 12 rounds at the intended victim, according to police.
MIDDLETOWN, CT — A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Middletown last month, according to police.
Police responded to the area of 175 South Main Street around 9:20 a.m. on Dec. 4 on the report of gunshots. Officers confirmed that a shooting occurred, but everyone who was involved left the scene and there was “no active threat to the public,” police said.
Officials said police determined that one building, 175 South Main Street, and one unoccupied vehicle in the area had been struck by gunfire.

Police also determined that 12 rounds had been fired at the intended victim, according to a news release.
Titus Cooper, 31, was arrested on a warrant Wednesday after a lengthy investigation, according to police. He was charged with criminal attempt to commit first-degree assault, use of firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree criminal mischief, illegal discharge of firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, possession of a large capacity magazine, and violation of a protective order.

Cooper was being held in lieu of a $1 million bond with a court date of Jan. 17, according to state judicial records.
