Middletown Looking Into Updating Woodrow Wilson Track, Pat Kidney Field

City officials approved to hire a consultant to study what it would cost to upgrade some of Middletown's recreational areas.

Middletown is looking into whether it is feasible to update some of the city school athletic facilities and a city park.

The Hartford Courant reported that the Middletown Common Council approved the spending of $75,000 toward a study and design for any work that needs to be done to update a track at Woodrow Wilson Middle School, tennis courts at Middletown High School and multiple facilities at Pat Kidney Field.

The Courant reported that officials will assess the feasibility of the projects and that Mayor Dan Drew's office will present the findings once the study is complete.
