MIDDLETOWN, CT — Middletown Mayor Gene Nocera Thursday released an updae on. the ongoing snowstorm cleanup efforts.

The storm dumped upwards of 2 feet on some parts of central and north central Connecticut and the intensity put the accumulation well ahead of the plow crews.

"Please be advised that the Middletown Public Works Department continues to actively respond to the recent winter storm. Crews are currently working throughout the city to widen roadways, remove and reduce large snowbanks, and improve visibility and travel conditions for motorists, pedestrians, and emergency vehicles.

"These efforts are essential to restoring full roadway access and ensuring public safety as temperatures fluctuate and conditions evolve. Residents are asked to remain patient and exercise caution when traveling, and to cooperate with posted signage and any temporary parking restrictions that may be in place to allow crews to work efficiently.
