MIDDLETOWN, CT — Middletown Superintendent of Schools Michael T. Conner was granted a request for a leave of absence during a special Board of Education meeting on Monday night, according to multiple reports.

The request came just days after city officials called for an investigation into complaints from unions representing school employees that claimed workers have dealt with harassment, intimidation and retaliation by central office senior management, according to the Middletown Press.
