Organizations in Middlesex County Receive $21,500 in Grants from Liberty Bank Foundation

Liberty Bank Foundation approves $21,500 in grants for nonprofit organizations in Middlesex County as part of the first quarter grant cycle

The Liberty Bank Foundation has awarded organizations in Middlesex County $21,500 in grants to support programs that will provide youth development, job training, shelter support, and more.

The following organizations received grants:

Adelbrook - $5,000 To pay wages for work study training to high school juniors and seniors with developmental disabilities in Middlesex County

Columbus House, Inc. - $2,500 To support the Middlesex Family Shelter & Services program

Connecticut Food Bank - $3,000 To support the Middletown Kids Backpack program

Oddfellows Playhouse - $3,000 To support Theater Explorers, a theatre-based after-school program

Solar Youth - $5,000 To support the Youth Educator internship program

The Connection, Inc. - $3,000 To support the Eddy Shelter

Since its inception in 1997, the Liberty Bank Foundation has awarded over $9 million in grants to nonprofit organizations within Liberty Bank's market area. The foundation seeks to improve the quality of life for people of low or moderate income by investing in three areas: education to promote economic success for children and families; affordable house; and nonprofit capacity building.
