Saturday October 18th Catholic Underground: Theresa Kate
Join us in the chapel of Holy Apostles College & Seminary (33 Prospect Hill Road, Cromwell, CT) at Saturday 7:30 pm.

Local singer/songwriter Theresa Kate joins CU CT as our October artist!

Theresa Kate brings a contemporary blend of rock and pop to the Christian music industry. Her debut album, “Just Believe,” is inspired by her personal journey of faith: “I found healing through Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” Theresa says.
She grew up in a small Connecticut town, the sixth of seven children. God was a huge presence in her childhood, but it wasn’t until she traveled halfway across the country that Theresa felt called to perform her faith.
The “halfway” was Nashville, Tennessee, where she moved, after studying Musical Theatre at Dean College, to purse Music Business at Belmont University. While learning about topics such as music publishing and artist management, Theresa performed at a downtown dinner theater and traveled the surrounding states with a gospel ministry choir. In many ways, her experience “down south” shaped who she has become as a person and music artist.

Post graduation, Theresa continued to perform as the lead singer for a secular rock band, playing venues all over Connecticut, including Foxwoods Resort Casino.
Today, she works as a Worship Leader for St. Michael’s Parish in East Longmeadow, MA and is married to her high school sweetheart. They have three young children together.

“Just Believe” captures the essence of her ongoing journey. By strengthening her faith through music, Theresa has learned that God is infinitely present – even in the darkest of hours.
THE EVENING: Adoration begins at 7:30 with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, leading into Evening Prayer (Vespers). The rest of the hour includes meditative worship music with the chapel lights dimmed, and we end with Solemn Benediction. Confessions are heard during the entire hour. After Adoration, we meet in the lower level of the chapel for refreshments and socializing. We close with Night Prayer (Compline) and depart at 10:30. A group usually heads to the Athenian Diner in Middletown afterward to continue the fellowship!
