Tonight's ABC 'Scream Rooms' Segment Postponed

Three Channel 8 programs — "Good Morning America," "World News" and "Nightline" — will feature the story of New York teen Corey Foster, who died April 18 while being restrained in a New York residential treatment facility.

ABC’s “Good Morning America,” “World News” and “Nightline” will feature a segment about isolation (or "scream") rooms used by some schools to deal with unruly children Tuesday, according to an article in the Middletown Press.

It focuses on the story of Corey Foster, who died April 18 at the age of 16 while being restrained by staffers at the Leake & Watts residential treatment center in Yonkers, N.Y.

Jane Majewski of Middletown was interviewed by the Good Morning America producer Angela Hill in mid-October, about her own experience with her autistic son in Middletown Public Schools. That segment was cut from the program, Majewski says, but some of her interview may be part of the final program.
