Unified Theater Rockstar Students “Let It Shine” in 2nd Annual Middletown Spring Tour on May 16th

Middletown, CT: Unified Theater rockstar students from the Middletown Recreation & Community Services’ Unified Theater program will put the Spotlight on Ability all across town on Monday, May 16th in Unified Theater’s 2nd annual Middletown Spring Tour.

The 2016 Spring Tour will feature twenty participants from the Unified Theater program at Middletown’s Recreation & Community Services. The short show was written by members of Unified Theater’s Youth Leader Council—an advisory group of Unified Theater student leaders from across the country. The performance, entitled “Let It Shine,” features students with and without disabilities as they share how Unified Theater allows their abilities, creativity, and leadership to shine both on stage and throughout their school communities.

The Spring Tour will kick off with a private performance at Liberty Bank’s main office (315 Main Street) at 3:30pm, followed by a show open to the public at Middletown City Hall (245 deKoven Drive) at 4:00pm. The tour will continue with a performance at KidCity Children’s Museum (119 Washington Street.) The public, family, and friends are encouraged to attend the free show open to the public at City Hall at 4:00pm. The Spring Tour will conclude with a private performance at Oddfellows Playhouse, which is Unified Theater’s Affiliate Theater for the region.
