2022 Big Year For Milford Businesses

Tons of new businesses opened in Milford during 2022, here are some of the new ones we highlighted throughout the year.

MILFORD, CT — It’s been a busy year of business growth in Milford. There were plenty of new restaurant openings, small business ribbon cuttings and a new nationally-distributed brewery on tap.

“It’s been robust, to say the least,” said Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce Director of Membership and Marketing Simon McDonald.

By his count, there have been more than 45 ribbon cuttings to-date for both large and small businesses, including some unique ones like Art Therapy of Milford.

“Mostly I’ve been excited about all the small businesses that have opened, people who aren’t necessarily business people saying ‘I can take a shot at this too,” he said.

That’s where the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce comes into play, McDonald said. The chamber helps with networking and getting new business owners in touch with local accountants, lawyers, insurance agents and business owners who can pass on their knowledge.
