The bottom-line on the weather forecast is it's going to be colder than we've experienced. A freeze warning is in effect from midnight to 8 a.m. Thursday for northern sections of southern Connecticut as temperatures will fall to as low as 29 degrees. A frost advisory has been issued for coastal sections as temperatures could dip to 33 degrees late tonight.

Temperatures in northern sections of the state will be below the freezing mark for at least the next few nights, with temperatures falling to 28 degrees on Friday. The daytime highs across the state will be around 50 degrees for the remainder of the week, and there will be plenty of sunshine.

1 killed in condo fire

A fire at a condo on Russell Avenue in Plainville has claimed the life of one person Wednesday morning, Fox 61 reports. Residents were evacuated in adjacent units. The fire broke out around 3 a.m., NBC Connecticut reports. There were a total of 10 condo units in the complex, and two other units were damaged in the blaze. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
