Body Found Where Wethersfield Man Went Missing: Vermont PD
The man was last seen at Lake Champlain and has been missing for several days.
WETHERSFIELD, CT — Vermont State Police have preliminarily identified a body in Lake Champlain as that of missing Wethersfield man George Ruhe. The Chief Medical Examiner's office in Vermont will perform an autopsy and confirm identification.
The body was found around 4:30 p.m. Thursday by the Vermont State Police Dive Team and was located near a sailboat moored in the Point Bay Marina.
Ruhe was last seen at the Point Bay Marina in Charlotte, Vt., according to Vermont State Police. He told a friend in a message that he was rowing. A dinghy that Ruhe used to reach his sailboat was missing. It is normally moored at the marina a short distance from shore.

His vehicle was found Wednesday parked at the marina and he was reported missing Wednesday afternoon after he didn't show up to meetings earlier in the week.
