The Milford Fine Arts Council & the Milford Bank proudly sponsor the Annual Great American Sand Sculpture Competition at Walnut Beach in Milford on Saturday, August 27, 2011 from 2-6pm. Bring a picnic, your beach blanket, pails and shovels, and create anything from huge lobsters to mermaids. Cash awards, trophies & ribbons to be awarded in various categories including Clubs/Friends, Families, and Individuals. All ages are welcome. Registration is free and open to all. Join the crowds and enjoy a day of looking or sculpting in the sun. Registration is from 2-2:30pm, Sand building 2:30-5:30pm, and judging at 6pm.
