Milford Eyes Waterfront Restaurant Downtown: Report
Talks have been ongoing for the past six months.

MILFORD, CT — Milford officials have been in negotiations with Milford Flotilla 73, Inc. about the possibility of the organization vacating the building it owns on Helwig Street in an effort to develop a waterfront restaurant overlooking Milford Harbor, the Milford Mirror reports.
The negotiations have been ongoing for the past six months. However, the flotilla owns the building which is appraised at $460,000 and leases city-owned land for $1 a year and 40 years remain on the lease. Milford officials say they won't force the flotilla out but hope to come to some sort of agreement, the Milford Mirror reports.
Milford officials say they'd like to see the land developed into a restaurant with dockside dining and the talks are ongoing.
