Milford Residents Still Concerned About Car Dealership Storage Plan

Colonial Toyota officials have met with concerned residents twice.

Colonial Toyota officials know some Milford residents are worried about their intentions for the formerly Kimberly Diner, site which the car company purchased earlier this year.

In an effort to address neighbor concerns, Colonial Toyota hosted two neighborhood meetings at the dealership to discuss its plans for the property, the Milford Mirror reports.

Earlier this year the diner was demolished and plans filed with the city by the dealership call for using the land for vehicle parking, but it could be extended to Ford Road and Gunn Street, the Mirror reports.

Neighbors remain concerned by the proposal and have circulated a petition to stop the project, which residents say is an intrusion into their residential neighborhood.

Residents also expressed concerns about traffic increasing.
