State Police said Zawadski's vehicle was traveling in the right lane when Stanford's car was traveling southbound in the left travel lane at a high rate of speed. Stanford's vehicle veered left off of the roadway and ran over a curb located in the median. She lost control of her vehicle and struck Zawadski's car, and his car rolled over and he was ejected from the vehicle, State Police said at the time.
Zawadski's car left the road and went down an embankment located in the right shoulder. Stanford was also partially ejected from her car and she was taken to a hospital for injuries, State Police said.
