Nonunion School Employees Given Raises

Forty-one nonunion employees in the Milford School district will be given raises for the upcoming school year, reports The New Haven Register.
The raises, reportedly totaling $40,106 for a 2.13 percent increase, were granted unanimously by the Board of Education.
The raises will be a part of the 2012-13 school budget, which was . The proposed budget brings a total overhaul of the curriculum department and a 1.92 percent spending increase from the current budget. According to administrators, it’s the lowest percentage increase sought in a decade.
