• Milford's Shoreline Early Warning System Receives Boost From State (patch.com) — Milford's shoreline emergency warning siren network is getting a $56,000 state grant to replace aging, unreliable equipment and improve storm and flood alerts along the city's 17 miles of coastline. Officials say the upgrade will modernize the six-siren system at key shoreline locations, helping ensure faster, clearer evacuation and safety messages during hurricanes and other coastal emergencies.
   

• Milford and South Windsor residents voice concerns surrounding Flock cameras (wtnh.com) — Milford officials have decided to pause and remove about 10 Flock license-plate cameras after many residents voiced privacy concerns, despite police saying the technology helps solve crimes. The Board of Aldermen, responding to strong community feedback, is weighing how to balance public safety with surveillance worries while the police union stresses maintaining trust with residents.
   

• Tow truck drivers highlight dangers on Connecticut roads after deadly Bloomfield crash (nbcconnecticut.com) — Connecticut tow truck drivers are urging motorists to slow down and move over after a colleague was killed in Bloomfield, and one driver recalls a near-miss while working in Milford.
