Popular Organic Grocery Chain To Open Milford Store
The brand has over 480 stores across the country and is expanding its presence in the Northeast.
MILFORD, CT — Sprouts Farmers Market is coming to a Milford shopping plaza. The company confirmed that the store will be opening in 2027.
A real estate listing shows Sprouts will anchor a site at 1052 Boston Post Road. T-Mobile has signed a lease to occupy a smaller space at the same site.
Sprouts will move into the former Hooters restaurant site, which is also on part of the Genesis car dealership property, according to The Connecticut Scoop. Genesis will remain.

The Sprouts space will be about 23,000 square feet, according to a company representative.

"Sprouts is looking forward to bringing healthy, better-for-you products that are new, unique and attribute driven to the local community," a company representative said.
Another 8,110-square-foot space at the plaza is listed for rent. The spot is directly off I-95 and touts "incredible visibility," according to the listing from True Commercial Real Estate.
Previously, it was rumored that The Fresh Market would open a store at the spot where the Sprouts will be opening, The Connecticut Scoop reported.
Sprouts, which is headquartered in Phoenix, is "one of the largest and fastest growing specialty retailers of fresh, natural and organic food in the United States," according to its website.
The chain operates over 480 stores in 25 states.
Sprouts also has a location planned for Westport, which will be its first in the state.
While Sprouts has one store in New York and five others in New Jersey, the company is planning to add more stores in the region in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
