Former Trumbull Man Due in Court in Connection with Investigation Into Beating Death of Monroe Woman

Thomas Fischer was arrested in September as police investigated the death of a 41-year-old Monroe woman last August.

A former Trumbull man is due in court on Jan. 8, 2015 for Violation of a Protective Order.

According to court records, Thomas Fischer violated the protective order, a Class D Felony, on August 22, 2014.

Police arrested Fischer, 48, formerly of Trumbull, on Sept. 8, 2014. The Protective Order stemmed from a 2014 domestic violence arrest in Virginia. The warrant was obtained based on information during the investigation of the untimely, suspicious death of Jennifer Sredzinski.

Sredzinski, 41, of Windgate Circle, Monroe, was found bloodied and beaten in the driveway of her condominium complex on August 25, 2014 and later succumbed to her injuries on August 28, 2014.

The warrant was obtained based on information during the investigation of the untimely, suspicious death of Jennifer Sredzinski, 41. The Monroe Police Department investigation continues and all information is being looked at.
