'Neighbors Helping Neighbors': Naugatuck Police Officer Helps Elderly Resident Shovel After Snowstorm: PD

Police wrote on social media that "moments like this are what community is all about!"

NAUGATUCK, CT — As Connecticut residents work to clear snow from their driveways following a massive snowstorm that impacted the region Sunday into Monday, a Naugatuck police officer pitched in to help a borough resident in need, according to the department.

In a Facebook post Monday, police said Officer Bruno Franceschi helped an elderly driver shovel out their car following the big weekend storm.

"Neighbors helping neighbors, on and off duty," police wrote on Facebook.

Police also shared a photo submitted by a local resident of Franceschi shoveling the snow, which can be viewed on the department's post here.

The weekend storm left piles of snow all across the state, with some areas of Connecticut receiving 12 to 18 inches of snow.
