83-Year-Old New Canaan Resident Injured in Crash

The man's vehicle hit another vehicle on the side of the road and flipped over, police said.

A New Canaan resident was injured in an accident after he rear-ended a parked vehicle on Smith Ridge Road.

A truck with a trailer attached was parked on the side of the road with its hazard lights on around 3:$5 p.m. on July 16, police said.

An 83-year-old man rear-ended the vehicle, which was near the intersection of Winding Down Lane.

His Subaru Legacy flipped over and landed on its roof, police said.

The man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and was cited for failure to drive right.
