NEW CANAAN, CT — Jennifer Farber Dulos, the New Canaan mother-of-five, has been missing since May 24. But in an exclusive interview Tuesday night with WNBC-TV New York's Sarah Wallace, estranged husband Fotis Dulos maintains his innocence in her disappearance.
In the interview, conducted at Fotis Dulos' Farmington home, he speaks about how difficult the situation has been, and in a separate statement sent to Patch and other news outlets, he says he knows what the public perception of him is.
"My children are the center of my world. I worry about them and Jennifer, and I would tell them that I know it is hard now but everything IS going to be alright eventually," Fotis Dulos stated. "I understand the public’s perception of me as a monster given the little they know about the case, but I trust the system and the process and ask the public to do the same. I believe I have been and will continue to be treated fairly by the criminal justice system. Please keep my children and Jennifer in your thoughts."

Fotis Dulos and his ex-girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, currently are facing charges of tampering with evidence and hindering a prosecution in connection with Jennifer Dulos' disappearance.
Those charges stem from the two suspects being accused of discarding bloody clothing, sponges and other items in Hartford, some of which tested positive for Jennifer Dulos' blood. Both Troconis and Fotis Dulos have pleaded not guilty to the charges.

In the interview, Fotis Dulos also admits to disagreements with his estranged wife, with whom he was in the midst of a contentious divorce and child custody battle at the time of her disappearance.
"I send my prayers. I had my differences with Jennifer like many people do when they go through a marriage," he said. "It didn't work out for us, but that doesn't mean that I wish her ill in any way."
Patch reached out to Carrie Luft, spokesperson for Jennifer Farber Dulos' family and friends, for comment on the interview. "We have no comment at this time," she told Patch.
Tuesday's interview follows a statement from Fotis Dulos' sister, Rena Dulos, in which she also maintains her brother's innocence.
The case also will be the focus of an HLN segment on July 3, with comments by New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski:

At the time of Fotis Dulos and Troconis' arrests a week after Jennifer Dulos' disappearance, Krolikowski said "additional criminal charges are expected," a sentiment he reiterates in the HLN interview.
