Fotis Dulos To Testify On Own Behalf In Gloria Farber Lawsuit

The estranged husband of missing New Canaan mother-of-five Jennifer Farber Dulos is fighting a civil lawsuit filed by his mother-in-law.

NEW CANAAN, CT — According to a Hartford court filing this week, Fotis Dulos will testify on his own behalf in the civil lawsuit brought on by his estranged mother-in-law Gloria Farber.

The accused husband of missing New Canaan mother-of-five Jennifer Farber Dulos is fighting Farber in court over millions of dollars she claims Fotis Dulos owes her and her late husband's estate. Additionally, she has foreclosed on the Farmington home where he lives after she paid off the mortgage.

Farber claims she and her late husband loaned Fotis Dulos $2.5 million that went toward his luxury home building business, but he argues that the money was a gift.

The trial in the civil case is scheduled to begin on Dec. 3 and last less than an week, writes the Greenwich Time.

Jennifer and Fotis Dulos were in the midst of a contentious divorce and child custody battle at the time of her May 24 disappearance. Farber also is fighting Fotis Dulos separately in court for sole custody of the couple's five children.

Soon after Jennifer Dulos disappeared, Fotis Dulos and his ex-girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, were charged with tampering with evidence and hindering a prosecution after authorities said the two discarded items in the Hartford area, some of which tested positive for Jennifer Dulos' blood.

The two have both pleaded not guilty; they remain free on bond and their cases are still pending.
