STAMFORD, CT — Former attorney Kent Mawhinney, one of the two remaining suspects in the disappearance of Jennifer Farber Dulos, was released from prison again on Thursday, after a judge reduced his bail, reported the Stamford Advocate.

Mawhinney had been behind bars since October, after he was accused of tampering with the GPS monitor on his ankle.

Superior Court Judge Gary White lowered Mawhinney's bail from $1.5 million to $246,000, which allowed the defendant to post bond for his release. The $246,000 was the same amount that allowed him to bond out in the fall of 2020.

Mawhinney is one of two defendants facing conspiracy to commit murder charges in the Dulos case, the other being Michelle Troconis, who is also free on bond and wearing a GPS monitoring device.

The two are accused of helping the late Fotis Dulos, who was accused of kidnapping and murdering Jennifer Dulos, his estranged wife. Jennifer Dulos vanished from her New Canaan home on May 24, 2019, and is presumed to be dead. Her body has not been found.

Fotis Dulos never stood trial, because he took his own life in January 2020.

Both Troconis and Mawhinney have pleaded not guilty in the case, but Mawhinney is expected to testify against Troconis.
