Michelle Troconis Back In CT After Court-Approved Trip Cut Short
Troconis and ex-boyfriend Fotis Dulos are suspects in the disappearance of New Canaan mother-of-five Jennifer Farber Dulos.
STAMFORD, CT — One of the suspects in the disappearance of New Canaan mother-of-five Jennifer Farber Dulos recently cut short her court-approved trip to New York because the GPS tracking device temporarily stopped working.
Michelle Troconis, and her attorney, Andrew Bowman, briefly appeared before Stamford Superior Court Judge John Blawie Thursday to seek an Aug. 19 pre-trial court date, when information about her short trip was revealed by State's Attorney Richard Colangelo.
According to Colangelo, Troconis, who had been approved to be out-of-state from between June 30 and July 17, had arrived back in Connecticut after one day and had not notified prosecutors of her return.

As part of her bond agreement, Troconis is required to wear a GPS tracking device, and Bowman told Blawie that his client cut the trip short because the GPS stopped working, prompting her to immediately return to Connecticut.
Bowman said his client had been in compliance with the conditions of the bond, and Blawie said that now that she is back in Connecticut, where she intends to stay, there should not be any further problems with the device. Blawie also approved the continuance request to Aug. 19.

Jennifer Dulos has been missing since May 24, and New Canaan and state police are continuing to investigate her disappearance.
Troconis and Fotis Dulos, her ex-boyfriend and the estranged husband of Jennifer Dulos, have been charged with tampering with evidence and hindering a prosecution in connection with the disappearance.
Authorities accuse the two of discarding items - some of which have tested positive for Jennifer Dulos' blood - soon after the disappearance was reported. Both Troconis and Fotis Dulos have pleaded not guilty in the case.
Norm Pattis, Fotis Dulos' attorney, has called for charges against Troconis to be dismissed, in part because he said she has passed a polygraph test and can provide an alibi for his client for the day of the disappearance.
In a separate development this week, Pattis is seeking Jennifer Dulos' medical bills and records from her insurance company to help his client's defense.
Fotis Dulos is due back in court on the charges on Aug. 9.
