Missing New Canaan Mom Case: Fotis Dulos Seeks His Belongings

Attorneys have filed a motion in court to have the confiscated items returned. Jennifer Dulos has been missing since May 24.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Attorneys for Fotis Dulos, the estranged husband of missing New Canaan mom Jennifer Farber Dulos, have filed a court motion to regain his vehicles and belongings confiscated by police as part of the investigation into her disappearance, reports the Stamford Advocate.

Cell phones, computers, hard drives and trucks have been seized by authorities, and Norm Pattis, lead attorney for Fotis Dulos, said he and his client need those items back to help build Fotis Dulos' defense. Additionally, Fotis Dulos needs the items back to continue running his luxury home building business, according to Pattis.

Patch reached out to a spokesperson for Pattis for a comment but did not immediately receive a reply.

Fotis Dulos, and his girlfriend Michelle Troconis, have been charged with evidence tampering and hindering a prosecution in connection with Jennifer Dulos' disappearance, and both are currently free on bond. At the time of her disappearance, Jennifer Dulos and Fotis Dulos were in the midst of contentious, two-year-long divorce and child custody battle.

The search for clues to Jennifer Dulos' disappearance continued on Tuesday with investigators back at the Hartford garbage facility where bags with bloody evidence ended up soon after Jennifer Dulos' disappearance on May 24, reports WFSB-TV.

Fotis Dulos and Troconis are accused of throwing away the bags, which contained items stained with Jennifer Dulos' blood.

Fox 61 reports that Fotis Dulos was at a New Canaan property that he owns cleaning it up on Monday. The site on Sturbridge Hill Road is under construction.

Since Jennifer Dulos' disappearance, authorities have searched Waveny Park in New Canaan; properties in New Canaan (including Jennifer Dulos' home on Welles Lane and the Sturbridge Hill Road site); a property in Pound Ridge, NY; properties in Farmington and Avon (including Fotis Dulos' home in Farmington); ponds in Avon; and a long stretch of road in Hartford.
