More Larcenies from Vehicles in New Canaan

Larcenies in town

Three fishing poles valued at $500, $350 and $450 were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on Valley Road during the overnight hours Nov. 1.

The owner found that the trunk had been left opened, police said.

Also on Nov. 1 officers got a reported of two vehicles being entered in the overnight hours on Canoe Hill Road. The car doors were left open, but nothing was taken.

Officers recovered a backpack taken from a vehicle on Douglas Road during the same night. Prescription eyeglasses, a TI-83 calculator and a Garmin GPS were taken.

Marijuana

Two Monroe men were issued infractions for possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana after police got a tip about suspicious people at the Mobil station on South Avenue.

Police saw a vehicle exit the lot and stopped it. The two were found in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

A Stamford man and Ansonia women were issued infractions for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia on Oct. 26 after an officer spotted their vehicle near Waveny House.

An East Norwalk woman was charged with possession of marijuana, paraphernalia and operating an unregistered vehicle Oct. 27 after an officer’s license plate reader detected her registration had expired.
