New Canaan Police Briefs: Domestic Arrest, DUI, Wallet Stolen from School
An allegedly intoxicated driver took down a utility pole, a domestic arrest occurred and a wallet was reported stolen from the high school.

DUI
A South Salem, NY woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after her vehicle hit a utility pole, police said.
Police were summoned to North Wilton Road on Dec. 9 around 12:45 a.m. A vehicle hit a utility pole and snapped it in half.

The pole was in the roadway.
Dawn Sempervive, 44, failed a field sobriety test and was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep lane on a curb or hill.

Wallet Stolen from School
A wallet was reported stolen from a backpack in New Canaan high School Dec. 7.
A student left the backpack in the hallway near the track coach’s office around 2:30 p.m. When she returned at 4:30 p.m. the backpack was found missing a wallet along with $200 in cash, a student ID card and a debit card.
The school resource officer is following up on the case.
Domestic Arrest
A woman last known to reside in New Canaan was arrested after she allegedly violated a protective order.
An officer on duty went inside Walgreens on Pine Street Dec. 9 and observed Jessica Kunz, 32, with her boyfriend.
The officer realized that a protective order was in place that prevented Kunz from being at the boyfriend’s residence.
Officers followed-up with a check at the boyfriend’s residence. They allegedly found Kunz there.
She was charged with criminal violation of a protective order.
