New Canaan Police Warn Residents Of Nearby Burglaries
Several homes in North Stamford have recently been hit.

NEW CANAAN, CT — With a rash of residential burglaries recently hitting North Stamford, New Canaan police are warning local homeowners to also be on the lookout for suspicious activity.
In a pair of posts on the department's Twitter page Wednesday, Sept. 6, New Canaan police warned residents to lock their doors and set alarms to ward off burglars.
Several Fairfield County communities have seen slight increases in residential and car burglaries in recent months, prompting law enforcement officials to issue similar warnings.

In the North Stamford cases, primarily large homes in wooded areas were targeted. Thieves sometimes gained entry through unlocked garage doors.
