New Canaan's Grace Farms Foundation Withdraws Special Permit Plan

The group is allowed to use its Lukes Wood Road complex in New Canaan for different types of events.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Grace Farms Foundation has withdrawn the application it filed in November for a special permit and will instead abide by the Planning and Zoning decision reached last September that will allow multiple uses at its Lukes Wood Road complex in New Canaan.

The group sought to clarify certain language in that application, which prompted the November filing, but is now seeking "to avoid any further unnecessary deliberations" on the matter.

"After careful consideration, and recognizing the hard work and analysis already invested in good faith by the Commission and its staff culminating in the Special Permit approved on September 26th, Grace Farms Foundation has decided to withdraw the Application for Special Permit, dated November 21, 2017, to avoid any further unnecessary deliberations on this matter and to allow the Commission the courtesy of managing its agenda at the next meeting," the organization stated Tuesday.
