Woman Reports $23k in Jewelry Stolen from New Canaan Residence

A New Canaan resident reported that about $23,000 in jewelry was stolen from her South Avenue residence.

The woman reported the incident to police on July 16.

There was no forced entry to the residence and the woman reported that contractors were working at the house.

Stolen was a diamond ring, a sapphire ring and some bracelets, police said.

Investigators are following up with contractors who were working at the house.
